Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to run with a stroller?  No!  But you lose all rights to be annoyed with strollers if you decide to run without one.

Is this a women’s only race?  No! We don’t discriminate at the Push 5k. We encourage Dads, Moms, Aunts, Uncles, neighbors and friends to rally behind the stroller.

Can I walk during the race?  Yes!  Turns out, running with a stroller and a 40lb kid is hard, so feel free to walk as much of the course your tired legs desire.

Is there an age limit for running the race?  Participants can be any age but have to pay the registration fee and children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with a race bib.

When and where is Packet Pickup?  The morning of the race at the race start tent.

Will there be water stations along the course? Yes!  There will be 2 water/break stations throughout the run.   We know kids might need a stretch too! And you new mommies we have a “refreshment” station for you and your newborn too!

What is the distance of Push 5K?  This is a 3.1 mile course.

What do I get with my registration?  You will receive your race bib and a sweet shirt but most of all big high fives and the coolest person ever badge from you little ones.

How can I volunteer for Push 5K?  Grandma and Grandpa!   You will get the best pictures of your little participants when you are volunteering along the race course. Anyone interested in volunteering, click the volunteer button on the web site. We will personally contact you and THANK YOU!!!

Does this benefit a charity?  Yes!  We are donating a portion of the proceeds to Treasure Valley YMCA and The Special Olympics TEAM GHOSTBUSTERS.

What if it rains?  Then the ground will be wet but the run will go on! Just think of the awesome puddle jumping you get to splash!

Is the race refundable?  Unfortunately, the race is non-refundable but you still get the sweet shirt and all those logged miles of training (its the journey!).
